Mervin Moore, AIA, Chairman of the Board of Moore Nordell Kroeger Architects, Inc., was pleased to announce the election of Carmen Renée Jiménez, AIA, LEED AP, as President of the firm. Ms Jiménez, a graduate of Texas A & M University in Environmental Design is a LEED Accredited Professional. She joined MNK in 2005 when she returned to El Paso from Phoenix, Arizona, and was elevated to principal in the firm in 2010.

Renée has been very active in the community. She was instrumental in the establishment of the Chihuahuan Desert Chapter of the U. S. Green Building Chapter in West Texas and Las Cruces and was its founding Chair.She went on to serve (regional) and (national). She and other members of the Chapter have worked with City Manager, Joyce Wilson, to advance the principals of sustainable design in El Paso.

Since joining MNK, Ms Jiménez has been project manager for Phase IV of the El Paso International Airport Terminal Expansion and Renovation and two new elementary schools for the El Paso Independent School District. She is currently Project Architect and LEED AP for a new Combination Elementary and Intermediate School for the Socorro ISD.

Renée serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce and on the Arts and Culture Committee of the Paso del Norte Group.

Leonard Nordell, AIA, and Mervin Moore, AIA, continue to serve as Vice President and Chairman, respectively.
