MNK Architectural Team:

Licensed Architects

MNK's principals have an aggregate of over 90 years of experience in practicing architecture in the Paso del Norte Region of West Texas and Southern New Mexico. This experience includes a wide range of building types, sizes and complexity as well as multiple delivery methods.

The key element to MNK's commitment to providing functional and affordable facilities, which contribute, to their community, is the direct continuous involvement of the firm's most experienced staff (its principal architect/owners) in each of its major projects. This commitment and involvement begins with the fact that the principals personally design each of these projects rather than handing them off to staff. One or more of the principals maintains this commitment throughout the design and construction of the project.

The principal architects of MNK Architects, Inc. are:

Renée Jiménez, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, CNU-A

Mrs. Jiménez is the President of MNK Architects, Inc. where she has practiced as a key project manager for 3 years and a Principal in Charge for 5 years. She is responsible for leading teams of designers and consultants in the preparation of construction documents, code review/research. Renée has been practicing architecture since 1996.

Prior to joining MNK Architects, Mrs. Jiménez was actively involved in sustainability endeavors. She became a LEED AP in 2003 and shortly after joining MNK Architects, she was instrumental in founding the first local chapter – the USGBC Chihuahuan Desert Chapter where she served as its founding Chair. In 2009 she was nominated to sit on the EPISD Go Green Accountability Committee and also sat on the USGBC West Region Council from 2007-2012. She was nominated to represent the West region Council on the Chapter Steering Committee in 2010 where she served 2 years advising the board on chapter policies and served as liaison between the board and the chapter community. Mrs. Jiménez has taken a key role in leading sustainable practices within the firm.

Mrs. Jiménez was an intern architect at DWL Architects + Planners, Inc. from 2000 and 2005. During that time she worked on several projects.
